ICON Injection Molding has successfully renewed ISO 9001:2015 certification. ISO 9001 certification is used across a wide swath of industries to indicate that a company has systems in place to effectively meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders, and that they are following through on the execution and utilization of these systems. This ISO 9001 standard is the world’s most recognized Quality Management System (QMS) standard, and the 2015 update of this standard emphasizes high-level management participation in company efforts to ensure that customers consistently receive high quality products and services.

This year’s audit went off without a hitch thanks to the great preparation undertaken by the Quality Department. ICON was praised for the involvement of corporate management in the day-to-day operations of the company, for robust training, and for well-documented processes. While the team here at ICON appreciates accolades about our QMS and all of the positive feedback from the auditor, we use external audits to put a critical eye to our systems and identify areas for improvement. This year’s audit was no exception. Firm believers in continuous improvement as a way of conducting business, we are happy to have such a strong management team committed to doubling down on our mission of Excellence from Art to Part.
