MISys Manufacturing Go-Live

In the summer of 2022, the ownership of ICON Injection Molding selected MISys Manufacturing as our software partner to bring ERP and MES capabilities to ICON facilities. MISys puts inventory, purchasing, planning, and production elements into one user-friendly system which integrates seamlessly with ICON’s accounting software. We are continuously improving here at ICON and, commensurate with our explosive growth over the last several years, recognized that one of our biggest needs was to get systems and data out of Excel.

The core MISys team met starting in July 2022 to build the database and prepare it for go-live rollout in Q1 2023. In February 2023, key staff were invited to training workshops led by the MISys team and supported by management. On March 9th, 2023, MISys Manufacturing was live at both ICON I and ICON II.

While MISys created new workflows, in turn giving additional job responsibilities to certain staff, we have been pleased at the results in the past month. MISys is helping us to capture more accurate inventory, allowing for greater efficiency in purchasing, and giving us real-time data into our production. MISys is still a work in progress, so we are excited to continue to refine the system and grow into other features within the system.
